How Texas Clinic Data Is Sourced

CDC Reporting Requirement

Every fertility clinic operating in Texas that performs ART procedures is required by the Fertility Clinic Success Rate and Certification Act of 1992 to report annual outcome data to the CDC. Reporting is mandatory. Clinics that do not report are listed as non-reporting in the CDC database.

Live Birth Rate Definition

The live birth rate for each Texas clinic is calculated as: ART cycles resulting in birth of at least one living infant ÷ total cycles started. The CDC reports this figure per clinic, segmented by patient age group. The rate displayed in this directory is for patients under 35 using their own eggs — the standard benchmark in ART outcome reporting.

Data Currency

The 2022 CDC ART Annual Report is the most recent federally published ART dataset as of 2026. All Texas clinic success rates on this site reflect 2022 federal data.
